"Pure Music Entertainment"
If you are looking for high energy, high quality, live and original Rock and Blues right here in Oxfordshire, we invite you to come to one of our gigs. You will not be disappointed.
Formed in 2003, East 42nd Street is a five-piece band of lead guitar, bass guitar, harmonica,
drums and keyboards - and one of the most exciting new bands to arrive on the
scene in the UK
in recent years. The Band was formed when Damon
suggested that Frank, who was learning harmonica, come and join him
for some jam sessions. These sessions soon developed and
gradually East 42nd Street was born.
Incorporating music derived from Southern Blues legends such as
B.B.
King,
Muddy Waters and Sonny Boy Williamson, influences from
The Faces,
Free, Lynyrd Skynyrd and other trend-setters of the 60s
and 70s,
East 42nd Street has created its own unique style and sound.
The Band’s material, some of it written by lead guitarist Damon, evokes the
excitement of the 60s and 70s, with a freshness and originality of its own.
The band has released several single tracks and plans on releasing its first full
length Album, "The Way It is" in late 2009.
